iâm starting a series this fall for all the cozy and fall-esque recipes i create đ first up is a simple one, yet one that never gets old⌠a spiced apple oatmeal bowl! i hope this sends allll the fall vibes into your feed đđđ-> đĽ°

spiced apple oatmeal bowl:
oatmeal base:
1/2 cup rolled oats
1 scoop protein powder (opt.)
1 cup plant milk
cinnamon, to taste
allspice, to taste
about 1/4 apple, chopped
spiced apples:
about 1/2 apple, chopped
about 2 tbsp water
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp honey
my other toppings: remaining 1/4 apple + some almond yog đ
directions:
1. in a saucepan over medium heat, bring the plant milk to a bubble
2. add the remaining oatmeal ingredients to the saucepan, let thicken while stirring occasionally
3. meanwhile, combine spiced apple ingredients in a small microwaveable dish
4. microwave on high for about 1:30-2:00, or until apples are soft
5. when the oatmeal is thick, add to a bowl and top with spiced apples + desired toppings!!
